Your Hidden Wales Itinerary
The "Stream in the Sky"
We start the day at the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, a UNESCO World Heritage site. You’ll walk 126ft above the valley floor for some of the most dramatic views in the UK.
Riverside Charm & Local Flavors
Next, we visit the riverside town of Llangollen and the nearby Horseshoe Falls. It’s the perfect spot to grab a local lunch and soak in the atmosphere of the Dee Valley before our afternoon hike.
The Summit Hike
We head to the highest peak in the region for a 5km guided walk. From the summit, you’ll enjoy 360-degree views stretching from the peaks of Snowdonia all the way to the English coast. The path is well-maintained and suitable for anyone with a moderate level of fitness - standard trainers are perfectly fine for this trail!
Ewloe Castle: The Hidden Stronghold
To finish the day, we head into the woods to find Ewloe Castle. Hidden away from the road in a deep, atmospheric valley, this 13th-century ruin is the definition of a hidden gem.
